Hacksaw City Leaderboard

1.1 The “Hacksaw City Leaderboard” (the “Promotion”) is operated by AlphaCity (Pty) Ltd trading as BetCity (“BetCity”, “we”, “us”), licensed by the Mpumalanga Economic Regulator (“MER”), and is available only on betcity.co.za and the BetCity web application.

1.2 These Promotional Terms and Conditions (“Promotion Terms”) must be read together with the BetCity General Terms and Conditions, the BetCity Bonus Terms and Conditions, the BetCity Privacy Policy and the BetCity Responsible Gambling Policy (together, the “General Terms”), all available on betcity.co.za.

1.3 Where these Promotion Terms conflict with the General Terms, these Promotion Terms prevail in respect of this Promotion only. In all other respects the General Terms continue to apply in full.

1.4 By placing a qualifying wager during the Promotion Period, a player accepts these Promotion Terms in full.

1.5 All amounts are in South African Rand (ZAR) and all times are South African Standard Time (SAST, UTC+2).

2.1 The Promotion opens at 00:00:00 on Saturday, 29 August 2026 and closes at 23:59:59 on Sunday, 30 August 2026 (the “Promotion Period”).

2.2 Only wagers that are both placed and settled within the Promotion Period will count toward the leaderboard. A wager placed before 23:59:59 on Sunday, 30 August 2026 but settled after that time will not count.

2.3 BetCity’s server clock is the definitive record of the time at which any wager was placed and settled.

3.1 The Promotion is open to registered BetCity account holders who are 18 years of age or older and physically located within the Republic of South Africa.

3.2 A player’s account must be fully registered and in good standing for the duration of the Promotion Period. Accounts that are suspended, restricted, closed, dormant or under investigation at any point during the Promotion Period, or at the time prizes are awarded, are not eligible.

3.3 A player must have completed FICA verification before a prize can be credited. Where a winning player is not yet verified, BetCity will hold the prize for 7 days from the date of the winner announcement to allow verification to be completed. If verification is not completed within that period, the prize lapses and will not be awarded or substituted.

3.4 The following are excluded from the Promotion and from any prize:

• Players who are self-excluded, or who have an active deposit, wagering or time limit, cooling-off period or any other responsible gambling restriction in place at any time during the Promotion Period;
• Players identified through BetCity’s responsible gambling monitoring as displaying markers of harm;
• Directors, employees and contractors of BetCity, AlphaCity (Pty) Ltd, Hacksaw Gaming, Bitville, iSolutions and any other supplier involved in the Promotion, and their immediate family members and members of their households;
• Accounts identified as duplicate, linked, syndicated or operated by or on behalf of a third party.

3.5 Each player may hold one position on the leaderboard and may win one prize only. Where BetCity determines that two or more accounts are controlled by the same person, or are linked (including but not limited to by shared identity document, banking details, device fingerprint, physical address or shared IP address), BetCity may consolidate, disqualify or exclude those accounts from the leaderboard at its reasonable discretion, in line with clause 8 of these Promotion Terms and the BetCity General Terms.

3.6 No opt-in is required. Participation is automatic upon placing a qualifying wager.

4.1 “Qualifying Games” means all casino titles supplied by Hacksaw Gaming and made available in the BetCity casino lobby under the Hacksaw Gaming provider filter during the Promotion Period. The Hacksaw Gaming provider filter in the BetCity lobby is the definitive list. Where a title is added to or removed from the lobby during the Promotion Period, wagers count only for the period during which that title was available.

4.2 “Qualifying Wager” means a single wager on a Qualifying Game that:

• is placed and settled within the Promotion Period;
• is of at least R1.00; and
• is funded entirely from the player’s real money (cash) balance.

4.3 Wagers funded wholly or partly from bonus funds, free spins, free rounds, promotional credit or any other non-cash balance do not count toward the leaderboard. Where an account holds both a cash balance and a bonus balance, the BetCity platform’s standard fund-priority rules determine which balance a wager is debited from, and only wagers debited from the cash balance will count.

4.4 Feature Buys, BonusHunt FeatureSpins™ and any equivalent bonus-purchase mechanic offered within a Qualifying Game count toward the leaderboard in full, at the full amount staked, provided the wager is funded from the player’s cash balance.

4.5 Wagers on all other casino games, live casino, table games, virtuals, sports betting, horse racing and Lucky Numbers do not count toward the leaderboard.

4.6 Cancelled, voided, refunded or reversed wagers, and wagers affected by a game malfunction, do not count and will be removed from the leaderboard.

5.1 Players are ranked by total Qualifying Wager turnover — that is, the total cumulative amount wagered on Qualifying Games during the Promotion Period — from highest to lowest. Wins, losses, net position and return-to-player outcomes have no bearing on a player’s ranking.

5.2 The leaderboard will be displayed on the BetCity promotions page and updated periodically during the Promotion Period. Leaderboard standings displayed during the Promotion Period are indicative and provisional only and do not create any entitlement to a prize.

5.3 Final standings will be determined from BetCity’s platform and casino transaction records after the close of the Promotion Period. Those records are definitive and final in the event of any discrepancy with the displayed leaderboard.

5.4 Where two or more players finish the Promotion Period on the same total qualifying turnover, the player who reached that turnover figure first — determined by the timestamp of the wager that took the player to that figure — will be awarded the higher position.

5.5 Where fewer than 50 players record qualifying turnover during the Promotion Period, only the positions actually filled will be awarded. Unawarded prizes will not be redistributed, carried over or substituted.

5.6 Winners will be published on the BetCity promotions page and notified by email and/or SMS by 23:59 SAST on Tuesday, 1 September 2026.

6.1 The total prize pool is R109,000, awarded entirely in Bonus Money across 50 leaderboard positions as follows:

• 1st — R25,000 (total R25,000)
• 2nd — R10,000 (total R10,000)
• 3rd — R5,000 (total R5,000)
• 4th – 25th (22 positions) — R2,000 each (total R44,000)
• 26th – 50th (25 positions) — R1,000 each (total R25,000)
• Total prize pool — 50 positions — R109,000

6.2 All prizes are awarded as Bonus Money credited to the winner’s BetCity account. There is no cash alternative and prizes are not transferable, assignable or exchangeable.

6.3 Prizes will be credited by 23:59 SAST on Tuesday, 1 September 2026.

7.1 Bonus Money awarded under this Promotion is subject to a wagering requirement of 10 (ten) times the value of the Bonus Money awarded before any resulting winnings may be withdrawn. By way of example, a R2,000 prize carries a R20,000 wagering requirement.

7.2 Bonus Money must be wagered on casino slot games, which contribute 100% toward the wagering requirement. Live casino, table games, virtuals, sports betting, horse racing and Lucky Numbers contribute 0% and may not be played with Bonus Money.

7.3 The maximum single wager permitted while a wagering requirement is outstanding is R50.00. Wagers placed in excess of this amount may be voided or may not contribute toward the wagering requirement.

7.4 Bonus Money expires 7 (seven) days after the date and time it is credited. Any unwagered Bonus Money, and any winnings derived from Bonus Money where the wagering requirement has not been met, will be forfeited on expiry.

7.5 No maximum win or maximum conversion cap applies to winnings derived from Bonus Money awarded under this Promotion, save that BetCity’s standard maximum daily payout and withdrawal limits set out in the General Terms continue to apply.

7.6 Bonus Money is wagered only once the player’s cash balance has been exhausted, in accordance with the BetCity platform’s standard fund-priority rules.

7.7 Where a player forfeits, cancels or loses Bonus Money, no replacement will be issued.

7.8 Save as expressly varied above, the BetCity Bonus Terms and Conditions apply to all Bonus Money awarded under this Promotion.

8.1 BetCity may, at its reasonable discretion and acting in good faith, disqualify any player from the leaderboard, withhold or reclaim any prize, and void any associated wagers or winnings, where it reasonably determines that the player has:

• used multiple, duplicate or linked accounts, or acted in concert with other players, to gain a leaderboard advantage;
• used automated software, bots, scripts, emulators or any device or method not made available by BetCity to place or accelerate wagers;
• exploited a game malfunction, pricing error, platform error or any error in the operation of the Promotion;
• engaged in low-risk, no-risk, offsetting or otherwise irregular wagering patterns designed to accumulate turnover without genuine risk;
• breached these Promotion Terms or the General Terms; or
• committed or attempted any fraudulent, collusive or unlawful act in connection with the Promotion.

8.2 Where a player is disqualified after final standings have been determined, the positions below the disqualified player will each move up by one place and prizes will be awarded accordingly.

8.3 BetCity reserves the right to withhold a prize pending the completion of any investigation, security check or verification, including source of funds and anti-money-laundering checks required under FICA.

9.1 BetCity may amend, suspend or cancel the Promotion, in whole or in part, where required to do so by law, by the MER or by any other competent authority, or where the Promotion cannot be conducted as intended due to circumstances beyond BetCity’s reasonable control, including technical failure, platform or provider outage, force majeure, or fraud or abuse that materially affects the integrity of the leaderboard.

9.2 Where the Promotion is cancelled or suspended, BetCity will publish notice on the BetCity promotions page and will act reasonably in determining whether and how prizes are to be awarded in respect of the period completed.

9.3 BetCity will not amend these Promotion Terms to the material disadvantage of participating players after the Promotion Period has opened, save as required by law or by the MER.

9.4 BetCity is not liable for any failure of a player’s device, internet connection or network operator, or for any interruption in service, that prevents a player from participating.

10.1 This Promotion rewards turnover. Players are reminded to set a budget before playing, to play only with funds they can afford to lose, and to use the deposit limit, wagering limit, time-out and self-exclusion tools available in their BetCity account settings at any time.

10.2 Participation in this Promotion will not affect, delay or override any responsible gambling limit or self-exclusion a player has in place or subsequently sets. Where a player sets a limit or self-excludes during the Promotion Period, their participation ends at that point.

10.3 No person under the age of 18 may participate. Winners may be re-verified before a prize is credited.

10.4 Gambling can be addictive. Play responsibly. National Responsible Gambling Programme toll-free counselling line: 0800 006 008. Winners know when to stop. Only persons 18 years and older are permitted to gamble.

11.1 Personal information collected and processed in connection with the Promotion will be processed in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) and the BetCity Privacy Policy.

11.2 Winners consent to the publication of a masked version of their username (for example, the first three characters followed by asterisks) on the BetCity website, in BetCity communications and on BetCity’s social media channels for the purpose of announcing the leaderboard results. No further personal information will be published without the winner’s separate written consent.

11.3 A winner who does not wish to have their masked username published may notify support@betcity.co.za within 24 hours of notification. Withholding consent to publication does not affect entitlement to a prize.

12.1 Any query or dispute relating to the Promotion, the leaderboard or a prize must be submitted to support@betcity.co.za within 7 (seven) days of the date on which the final standings are published. Disputes submitted after that period will not be considered.

12.2 BetCity will investigate and respond in writing. BetCity’s platform and casino transaction records will be definitive in determining any dispute.

12.3 Where a dispute cannot be resolved to the player’s satisfaction, the player may escalate the matter to the Mpumalanga Economic Regulator in accordance with the complaints procedure set out in the BetCity General Terms.

12.4 These Promotion Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
